Bye Bye April 2018 Month of Accolades" Welcome May 2018 "Month of Assurance"


Yes! That right there is my real face 😂. Today happens to be World Blogger Day so,I celebrated myself. I hope it is allowed.

The social media sphere in Nigeria has been buzzing with so many slangs and bakers are also catching in on the fun. So, if you don't understand what month of accolades and month of assurance means then you are sitting down on a lonnnnnggggg thing like the koko master will say.

April 2018 is long gone but Naija Bakers sure made it memorable. You can only understand if you visit the blog on Instagram and view our page, the cakes are craaazzzyyy, their level of creativity is absolutely top notch and they keep inventing new techniques.

The most talked about event in the food industry in Nigeria for the month of April should be The GTBank Food and Drink Fair 2018 which took place in Lagos from the 29th of April to the 1st of May and had in attendance top notch chefs in the culinary world. Chef Raphael Duntoye, Cake Maestro Elizabeth Solaru of Elizabeth Cake Emporium, US Food TV Host Sunny Anderson, Chef Tony Conigliaro, Chef Imoteda, Chef Benedict and other world pros.

According to GTBank, the fair gave small businesses the opportunity to make sales and local chefs the opportunity to attend master classes held by renowned chefs and food experts.

The fair ended on the 1st of May, 2018 and on that note we kick of May 2018.

On the blog a Naija Baker @dacakesmaster just dropped a 5'8 foot human form cake masterpiece for the birthday of Nollywood actress Sotayogaga, setting the pace for a creative May 2018 in the Nigerian baking industry.

The Cavos cake exhibition is also on going and am sure there 'll be lots more to come.
Miracle May "another slang on social media" is what I believe this month will be in the baking world.

I love trying new products especially made by trusted brands and I did try the Newly launched Devon Kings Margarine and it was all shades of amazing. The aroma, the texture, the colour, super easy to cream with sugar and very smooth and silky for buttercream. It is only 150 for a 250g sachet in the Nigerian market and I would love every baker to buy at least one and give it a try. When you use it, I will love a feedback.
